DRAFT CONFERENCE AGENDA
FRIDAY 31 OCTOBER 2008
CONTEMPORARY URBAN CENTRE, LIVERPOOL

COST PER DELEGATE £150.00
A limited number of student places are available at £40* per delegate.

This international Conference organised by PLDA and Places Matter! explores the increasingly important contribution which architectural feature lighting is making to the renewal of our towns & cities. Liverpool provides an outstanding location for the Conference, the City is slowly being transformed by light after dark, demonstrating new confidence in the city and contributing to improvements in the environment and economy.

The Conference will explore the issue of light, darkness and scale, drawing on the experience of some of the temporary lighting schemes installed in Liverpool and the Wirral in October 2008, which capture the extremes of professional practice from the massive tunnel ventilation shaft to the human scale of a city centre housing estate.
